I am a novice self-builder in the Perthshire area of Scotland. Landed into trouble with the local authority and almost jeopardised my planning application after engaging Roavr Group, largely owing to non-compliance when it comes to Bat assessments. Roavr also washed their hands off and disappeared from the scene. It cost me money and more importantly, time to get things under control. I’m compelled to write a review because I received a 1st class service.My property boundary is filled with overgrown trees but as I live in a Conservation area, I wanted to sought professional advice to understand what I could do without penalties or complaints!I was highly impressed from their service from start to finish. After booking online initially, the phone rang. I suspected it may be ROAVR offering a hard sell and upgrade but was pleasantly surprised to be asked if I’d like a free 15 minute call with one of their arboriculturists. The resulting call proved very helpful and explained my position and options completely.The survey was conducted as planned and the subsequent report was emailed along with a video commentary explaining not just what data the report contained but how specifically it could be used for planning permission etc.Following my review of the report, I arranged a follow-up call to agree next steps.
