A Basic tree risk assessment and tree health inspection will be conducted on up to 3 trees.

The tree details will include species identification, tree dimensions, age range and vigour entered within the report. Observations will be made from the ground level, the lower tree trunk will be accessed using a ladder to undertake a proportion of the internal decay testing where required.

Basic assessment of tree risk is a limited visual inspection of a tree and surrounding site that may include the use of simple tools (nylon sounding mallet, IML calibrated steel probe and binoculars). It requires that a tree risk assessor walk completely around the tree trunk looking at the site, above-ground roots, trunk and branches.

The trees will then be tested using an IML PD400E micro-drill unit to establish the internal trunk wood structure, decayed wood or solid wood structures are identified and quantified for use in determining overall trunk safety.

A report will be produced based on our findings.  A resistograph is usually used to confirm the presence of dysfunctional timber as a result of a previous tree safety survey.

I needed an ecological appraisal report, and am very happy to have turned to ROAVR. They worked efficiently and produced an excellent document for my planning consent application. They were responsive to my particular needs - and the price was very reasonable.
